Hey nothing posted here. I just planted me a big tomato plant in a five gallon bucket. Put it on my porch where I can water easily but will still get sun. Hope it does well....love those tomatoes.

I love cannas too but hate having to dig them up. I've pretty much just quit planting things that aren't hardy enough to survive our winters. We used to plant a garden but gave up battling the deer, bunnies, Mother Nature, etc. But, it is so nice to go out to your own garden and get what you need for making meals. I have some pics somewhere in our computer of Noelle in our garden, will try to find them. I'm anxious for our warm weather to get here so I can clear out all my tender plants from the sun room and have our sun room back to enjoy.

LTC, I tried a plant in a large flower pot. They were called Big Boy's....only they weren't!! I wondered if you did something special with your plant? I did have a lot of tomatoes, but they never got much bigger than maybe a golf ball. Needed 3 to make a decent tomato sandwich....

Hi Ginger, Nothing special. Just watered and fertilized. The first tomatoes were all really nice size tomatoes, but as the season has went on they got smaller too. In fact, told my hubby just to dump it out. We were gone a couple days and a lot of it turned brown. But he put it under a tree and started watering it and it started blooming again, but only small tomatoes now.. Don't know why? Weather has been so so hot....high 90s and low 100s for last 3 months. Sorry I can't help you..........
