To my darling husband,
Before you return from your business trip, I just want to let you know about the small accident I had with the pickup truck when I turned into the driveway. Fortunately, not too bad, and I really didn't get hurt, so please don't worry too much about me. I was coming home from Wal-Mart, and when I turned into the driveway, I accidentally pushed down on the accelerator instead of the brake. The garage door is slightly bent, but the pickup fortunately came to a halt when it bumped into your car. I am really sorry, but I know with your kind-hearted personality you will forgive me. You know how much I love you and care for you my sweetheart. I am enclosing a picture for you. I cannot wait to hold you in my arms again. Your loving wife

Neat cars, Dreamer. I'll have to show those to Ron. One of these days I'll get around to posting pics of some of our cars. I'm giving some thought to getting on a list to order one of those new Camaros. Not sure though, will need to check them out more. I have a '67 Camaro in our barn.

This is really more to vent and not looking for help. Three years ago this month, I bought a new Suzuki 4 door Forenza. A nice car, but not what I would have chosen if I'd had other options. However, at the time my credit was pretty screwed up; they were offering a rebate and worked with 100 banks. I figured one of them would have to be willing to finance me. Well, one did and I drove the car home. Seven or eight months later, I started to have a lot of trouble getting it started. So, back to dealer; told I needed a computer chip upgrade because of a "communication failure" between my computers. Ok, sounds good. However, the upgrade was not yet ready so I had to wait two weeks. Ok, fine, get that done. Just about 5 months later it gets a recall for faulty seatbelt connection. Ok, off to the dealer again. Two weeks later, front right inside door handle falls off. Back to dealer once again. Just about a year later to the day, the rack and pinion had to be replaced---I don't even know what that is!! Then the right front wheel had to be replaced. By now, the warranty is out. SO of course, 2 weeks later the back left inside door handle falls off!! Now, please understand that this is a one person car. NO ONE sits in my back seat. I could probably count on one hand how many times anyone has sat back there. So, what do you think happened last week when I stopped at the gas station?? My inside door handle fell off in my hand. So, now it is back to making an appointment with the dealer. Trust me, we are on a first name basis, the service manager and I.....It's a shame because I like the body design of this car, but do not think that I would ever buy another one!! Anyway, thanks for listening....I am going out to the driveway now and kick a tire......the one farthest from the only original door handle left....

LOL Ginger, it does help to just vent, doesn't it. I'm still driving the same car we bought new back when Noelle came to live with us at age 2. She will be 24 in October. I hardly ever drive or go anywhere, so imagine I'll drive the car until I no longer drive. I vented a little bit myself today, broke a door handle off our back door to the garage. Actually I'm surprised I haven't broken it before now, have lived here almost 30 years and have put up with it all this time. There is that door and there is a door leading down to the basement. It seems like the two handles somehow are always getting meshed together. I'll be trying to get downstairs with my hands full of things, usually laundry baskets, and those doors will be jammed together. Well today I was loaded down with laundry, had my fill of the doors, so I slammed them very hard and broke the handle. I told Ron if he fixes it I'm just going to break it again. Even after he took the door knobs clear out then the basement door managed to get stuck in the garage door and I had a heck of a time getting back inside. I've told Ron I think he just should take the basement door off.

Sounds like one too many doors! But I do relate! We have a rancher and our door to the basement is in the kitchen. It opens towards the basement steps which are steep and just about a laundry basket wide. I Have to step down and back to open the door from the basement side; which is too difficult and uncomfortable to do when my hands/arms are full. Especially with 5 cats trying to get either up or down at the same time! So I have to just keep the door open at all times. And I've knocked a kitty back a few steps if they are in the basement and the door is closed. They just don't understand that they have to back up out of the way of the door swing...

Oh boy can I relate to the pets. I have fallen down our steps several times because of our pets. They seem to have to be with me at all times. If I lift my foot to take a step, they run under it and trip me. So now I have to go down the steps taking baby steps. Luckily I haven't broken any bones yet. But, I did get quite a hit to the head one Christmas, still have a mark by my eye from it. I was decorating the diningroom fireplace, stepped back and my Pom tripped me. I fell and hit the temple on the side of my head on the corner of an old cast iron sewing machine I use as a plant stand. It knocked me out for a while. What was so funny about it I guess I was out quite a while and my daughter saw me on the floor but just thought I was sleeping, didn't come to help me. LOL I asked her if she had ever known me to ever just sleep on the floor like that, right up against the sewing machine. She just said no. My husband told her next time he saw me like that to come get him. I think he was sleeping on the sofa in the livingroom at the time. There was another time when I was putting away some leftover food, had my hands full, didn't see the dogs and tripped over them, hit my head hard on the refrigerator and food went everywhere. My first thought was I hoped I hadn't dented the frig. LOL I leterally can't walk, always have pets in my way.
