I know we have all been super busy this summer; but I have made an effort to take some time for it. I like thriller/mysteries and have started re-reading John Sandford's "Prey" series. I also discovered a new author, at least for me. Her name is Clea Simon, and she has 2 series that are cat themed....right up my alley! Has anyone had a chance to read anything?

About the only reading I've made time for recently has been to research about how to care for Congo African Grey parrots. I haven't even taken time to look through the magazines I still subscribe to.

I know what you mean. I do a lot of computer research. I finally gave up my subscriptions; they were mostly cooking magazines anyway. And now the computer is in the kitchen, it is way easier to just pull up a recipe when I need it. And all my favorites are on my website so it's usually just 1 place I need to go. Then I can angle the moniter to face the island...When I have time to cook, anyway

Yes, a lot of mine are cooking magazines too. I collect cookbooks. I have hundreds, probably more like thousands. Ron built me enclosed bookcases on both sides of the diningroom fireplace. But, they are packed and I have stacks of cookbooks piled everywhere. I used to fix a different recipe every day. But, now that Ron is retired, it seems like he is doing more of the cooking. He enjoys cooking. I know there are thousands of recipes on the internet. But, I still prefer to sit down and look through my cookbooks.
