Does anyone know anything about Rose of Sharon bushes? I have quite a few and I think they need to be cut back or something. They have by far outgrown the spots I planted them. Is there any particular time to do that?

Very interesting--thanks! I have one that has gotten so big it is top heavy and falling to the side. I am afraid it is going to pull itself out of the ground. But I will try to wait until March. I think I planted some too close together because I didn't think they would have such a wide spread.
